The Douglas County Sheriff's Office would like to refer citizens to the official Mark Bosworth website http://www.findmark.org/ for information regarding Mark or to leave comments. The Bosworth family and friends purchased the new website domain which has more information and resources.

DCSO Media Release 9/29

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens that Mark Bosworth is still missing. With the opening of the deer hunting season this Saturday, many people will be in the woods. The Sheriff’s Office is asking all hunters and others who will be in the area to remain vigilant for Mr. Bosworth.

Mark Bosworth was last seen in Riddle on September 16th, 2011. He is 54 years old, 6’0” tall and weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing black athletic pants, brown bike shoes, a gray “Cycle Oregon” sweatshirt and a yellow ball cap.

Anyone with information about Mr. Bosworth is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 541-957-2099. Additional information is available at www.findmark.org

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens that though the actual ground search for Mark Bosworth has been suspended, that Mark is still missing. The Sheriff’s Office would like to ask citizens in the Riddle and surrounding area to remain vigilant for Mr. Bosworth.

Please ensure that all out buildings, vehicles, etc. have been searched. We also ask that as you are going about your daily activities to continue to look for Mr. Bosworth.

The Sheriff's Office is continuing to follow up on tips and leads in the search for Mark Bosworth.

Updated Flyer for Mark

DCSO Media Release 9/21 at 11:30 am

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team is in the process of completing an extensive search of the area where Mark Bosworth was reportedly last seen. This team consists of volunteers and DCSO staff members. This team was assisted yesterday by approximately 80 volunteers from Cycle Oregon. It is expected that the ground search for Mr. Bosworth will be concluded today. Additional ground searches may be conducted as further information becomes available.

The search efforts have failed to produce any information as to the whereabouts of Mark Bosworth. While there is no indication of foul play, the Douglas County Major Crimes Team was activated to assist the search efforts for Mr. Bosworth. The team has been used to follow up on tips and leads associated with this search effort.

Investigators have received additional information regarding Bosworth's health and it appears that Mr. Bosworth could be suffering from a diminished mental capacity.
